There are a few types of removable appliance. They are custom-made on the basis of the malocclusion. The colour of appliance is chosen by the patient. The removable appliance should be worn during the night and for 5 hours during the day unless the doctor states otherwise. The appliance should be cleaned and stored in a special box. The treatment period may vary depending on the malocclusion and the patient’s regularity. Follow-up visits take place every 6-8 weeks.
