Cephalometric radiograph – an image used to gauge the cranial and facial bones. It allows to detect injuries or damages, diseases and dysmorphism within the area covered by the image. It shows soft tissues of the face, paranasal sinuses and hard palate. In orthodontic treatment it is used to assess the growth of the facial skeleton.
